Description
The Dual Plate Check Valves design is the result of attempts to solve the problems associated with the swing check valve and lift check valve. It employs two spring-loaded plates hinged on a central hinge pin. When the flow decreases, the plates close by a torsion spring action without requiring reverse flow.
Dual Plate check valves are used in pipe lines to prevent reverse flow water and water hammer the pumps from rising main.
